Role-based Governance

Role-based Governance is a complete self-management system. It helps organisations to be flexible, reactive and focused on their purpose by emphasising a high degree of autonomy for employees while providing them clear rules of the game and structure.

The following are the three key elements of the Role-based Governance principle:

DYNAMIC GUIDANCE

Each individual’s creativity and initiative are valorised, whatever their original function may have been. For each idea or initiative, a task (represented by a circle) is created. Within this circle, the roles are defined according to each person’s added value, and a leader and a rapporteur are appointed.

ORGANISATION IN CIRCLES

The pyramid structure is abandoned in favour of an organisation in circles. The hierarchy is multidirectional and scalable.

TWO TYPES OF REGULAR MEETINGS PER CIRCLE

  • Strategic governance meetings: 1X/mois: once a month: Vision of the company, organisation, searching for solutions, creating a new task within the present circle to deal with a question in greater detail etc.
    -> What kind of organisation?
  • Operational meetings: once a week: Implementation, analysing results, measuring effectiveness.
    -> What kind of actions?
