The strongly collaborative aspect of kaizen (continuous improvement) makes possible a more horizontal management and a less brutal steering system in the company.
You distribute your employees on the basis of 4 different types of groups:
Squads
- Composition: teams of 5 to 7 developers, 1 product owner and 1 scrum master.
- Each squad is an autonomous, multidisciplinary start-up.
- Functional or technical experts are included without exceeding 10 people in total.
- There is free choice of agile methods in each squad.
Chapters
- Bring together in a chapter (transversal team) one person from each squad.
- 2 to 4 chapters are created depending on the size of the squads.
- Ensure a global vision of the project management.
Tribes
- Several squads are included within one tribe.
- An agile facilitator is appointed for each tribe.
- Tribes are composed of no more than 80 people (10 squads).
- Each tribe is focalised on a specific project theme.
Guilds
- People with the same skills are brought together in a guild.
- Similar subjects are regularly shared (a dedicated standby).
- Informal events are planned together (retrospectives).
